This is a beanie I knitted for my Calgary friend Sandra* who is a runner, and who mentioned to me that even in warm weather, Calgary mornings can be cool and her ears get cold. So I made her this summer hat–the brim can be rolled up or down depending on the temperature. I sent her this photo and she said, ummm, love the hat, but no button, not a button gal. So the button has come off, and will go on my beanie.
This was knitted from Nashua Cilantro, 90% cotton, 10% polyester (for stretch).

* Sandra is involved in a project you may find interesting. She has designed and is embroidering a 220 foot (yes, that is correct) tapestry depicting the history of oil. She is blogging about it at Black Gold Tapestry.
