We are lucky to have yarn artists living among us. Danika (she curates the GBOW Facebook page) and Katrina make unique and beautiful hand spun yarns which certainly cost more than most yarns. But these yarns are for those projects you intend to be heirlooms, treasured for many years, or just plain loved for their inherent fabulosity.
