Today in my morning edition of Knitting Daily, I learned that the I-cord–that knitted tube made from just a few stitches–was created by Elizabeth Zimmermann, master knitter, creator of the Baby Surprise Jacket and mother of the craft (at least, to North Americans). Did you know that?
I did know the “I” stands for “Idiot” because it is such an easy thing to create–and so useful!
