This hat is on its way to Ontario to my brother, for his birthday. What a saga…I will not reveal how many times I ripped it back into the ribbing. All operator error…I misread the pattern, and then once I’d got that figured out, made some silly errors that I could not recover from (I have no idea how to re-knit a cable I have ripped out because I am not very good!).
That said, it is a lovely pattern, from Tin Can Knits, called Antler, because the cables look like antlers. It is available as a free download and has sizes from baby to large adult.
The yarn I used is Delave Superwash, and the colour reminded me of Black Watch tartan, knitted up. (It’s darker than the photo looks).
